San Francisco! also known as "The City by the Bay", "Fog City", "San Fran", and "Frisco", located on the West Coast, is the second most densely populated major city in the United States after New York City. Known for it's fog, cool summers and steep hills (more than 50 hills within its city limits).
So happy to be here and to meet up with my ex-housemate Alice again. The last time we saw each other was in 2012. Even though Alice and I, only stayed together for less than a year in Singapore, we became fast friends and a dear friend at that.
Day 4: As luck would have it, it was labour day on 5th September 2016 in the US. So Alice had the day off! We spent the morning visiting the Palace of Fine Arts, The Lyon Steps, and somewhere near Fort Point to see the Golden Gate Bridge.

Then we had Taiwanese food for lunch with her friend and her friend's Mum. The beef noodle was delightful! (wish I could have a bowl of it right now). After lunch, we all got into our car and checked out the "Full House" sitcom house on Broderick St, walked along Clarion Alley to admire the artistic graffiti and chilled out at Dolores Park with the locals.

After we parted ways with her friend and her friend's mum, we made a stop to watch cars drive down the Russian hill on the windy Lombard street before taking a short walk at the Fisherman's Wharf. We ended the day with dinner at a Vietnamese restaurant.

Not sure if this is an authentic Vietnamese dish, but this Beef Salad rocked! |
Thank you Alice for spending the entire day with us and showing us around San Francisco! It was an awesome day. Love the colourfully painted Victorian houses and steep hills. The weather was nothing but sunshine and clear blue skies!
Wish we had more time, but our road trip itinerary awaits! Fortunately, we'll be back again on 16th September!
