Ahoy, Matey

Hello there!

I'm inserting a welcome note here. As you may already know, it was only at the end of 2016, four years, two oceans and 19 countries later, that we finally decided to start a blog {okay, by "we" it was really me}. We're in Power Boats, Chaguaramas, Trinidad (of Trinidad and Tobago) at the moment.

Hauled out to do boat repairs and maintenance works. While Alex is busy with all the boat projects, I decided to allocate some time to start this blog. Of course, I help him with the boat projects too! And by "help", I'm an extra pair of hands to hold stuff, hand him tools, bring him this and that, photograph and document this and that, tidy and clean up. Sounds simple and easy enough, but you should all know.. the cleaning never ends! (much like boat projects!)

Please note that all the posts before November 2016, were written in retrospect so it may not contain as much detail as we/I would like. Truthfully, it took quite a bit of effort searching through old photographs and our log book to trigger some memories.

I'd also like to apologize in advance for my limited vocabulary and grammar mistakes. I am not a gifted writer. But rest assured, I'll strive to improve as I write more posts! So please bear with me {and in case I don't improve, I hope you'll enjoy reading it anyway}.

There are still many more posts in 'draft' and I will slowly but surely make my way to complete and post them someday. In the meantime, I hope you'll enjoy what we've posted thus far.

Thanks for reading and stopping by ;)

Papua New Guinea

Papua New Guinea! Alex's all time favourite destination! Even though this is where he ran down a live erupting volcano and where Raptor was boarded by armed Papua New Guinean pirates! True story!

Hopefully one day, he'll find the time to write a post to tell you about it.

In the mean time, here are some nice photos to share. It really does look amazing!

Life on Raptor

We like to fish!
Sometimes visitors drop by
We like to fish... even at night!
Life is often hectic..
So we have to chill out & throw some fish on the BBQ..
Before we go for a quick dive..
And sometimes its hard to find a good parking spot..
Sometimes we like to save fuel by rowing the dinghy!
