Here are some photo's of our walk/hike up the pacified favela (Brazilian term for slum/shanty town) in Vidigal, Rio de Janeiro. We were pleasantly surprised when a short trail from the hilltop led us to a really nice viewpoint of Rio which overlooks the Ipanema beach and its surrounding neighbourhoods.

| For a few Reais, you can hop on a scooter and it'll take you right to the top of the hill. But of course, we walked! |
